Robert (“Rob”) is founder of the Parkins Lane Consulting Group and is its Managing Director.

Consulting

Parkins Lane Consulting Group’s professional services clientele are Accounting, Consulting, and Legal Firms. Rob has assisted these organisations with Partner Retreats, Strategy, Remuneration, Marketing and Finance.

Virtual CEO/COO

Rob also acts as a Virtual CEO/COO/CFO for several boutique professional services firms; a time-based service that puts strategic, marketing, and financial expertise within their reach.

Rob’s employed roles include the following:

  • Macpherson Kelley – After an initial strategy assignment for the Macpherson + Kelly, Rob was asked to join the firm to oversee the implementation of this strategy, including the creation of “one firm” nationally from 5 autonomous subsidiaries, the establishment of a world class shared services capability and the remediation of the firm’s IT environment.
  • HWL Ebsworth – Rob was the Chief Operating Officer at HWL Ebsworth Lawyers for eleven years. During his tenure at HWL Ebsworth, he drove substantial growth in firm through a series of mergers and lateral appointments, transforming it from a four-partner Melbourne based practice to a national firm with over 100 partners. The business model developed during this time is still employed by HWL and set it up to become Australia’s largest law firm.
  • Deloitte – A Chartered Accountant, Robert began his career in the insolvency and reconstruction sector working with global professional services organisation, Deloitte.
